Overview of the functions of the post:
Under the overall authority of the Director of the UNESCO Bangkok, and the direct supervision of the Head of Executive Office, the individual specialist shall ensure the overall coordination, technical preparation and participation in the UN RCP related programme activities such as engagement in various thematic and technical working groups with focus on ensuring UNESCO’s active participation and contribution in its competent areas (Education, Sciences, Culture and Communication) and support resource mobilization activities to attain programmatic objectives of the Office. The specialist shall also ensure the establishment of a strategic relation between UNESCO and UN Country Teams (UNCT) activities especially in Thailand, Laos PDR and Myanmar
