Organization of the Asia Education Summit on Flexible Learning Strategies for Out-of-School Children

UNESCO Bangkok, in collaboration with its partners,  organized the  “Asia Education Summit on Flexible Learning Strategies for Out-of-School Children” from 24th - 26th February 2016 in Bangkok, Thailand. The Summit was attended by over 500 participants from mostly Asia-Pacific regions and over 120 speakers from around the world. The Summit was aimed to provide a forum in which policymakers, practitioners, private sectors, development partners, INGOs, NGOs and academics to share the latest innovative education initiatives and flexible learning strategies in education for OOSC.

Following the Summit, “The Outcome Document: Guidelines for Actions” was prepared by the Steering Committee and finalized. The final report on Asia Education Summit on Flexible Learning Strategies for Out-of-School Children have also been completed in May 2016. The report provides a summary of the innovative initiatives and flexible learning strategies shared through out the three-day summit. All the sessions taken place at the summit were recorded and a video was made.
