Mother Tongue-Based Multilingual Education: UNESCO Asia-Pacific In Graphic Detail #1

Children learn better in their mother tongue first, but 40% worldwide never have that chance. In concert with UNESCO’s ‘Writing Peace’ manual launched this year, the UNESCO Bangkok Office is highlighting Mother Tongue-Based Multilingual Education in the first in a series of six infographics to be released over the next weeks in commemoration of key International Days.

These infographics convey core concepts of UNESCO’s work in areas that profoundly affect the lives of people throughout the region.

We encourage everyone to share widely and utilise these resources in their own projects and campaigns. Click here for high-resolution .pdf file.
