Introduction to the new four-year Education College teacher education curriculum

The main message of the video is that the new curriculum gives student teachers the competencies to work on par with graduates of other four-year degree programmes

This new curriculum seeks: To provide teacher educators and student teachers with a competency-based curriculum;
•     To introduce the option for specialization tracks (primary and middle school);
•     To better prepare student teachers to manage classes of any size and students with different needs;
•     To increase the amount of supervised practical classroom experience student teachers have.
