Asia-Pacific Creative Cities Conference

Asia-Pacific Creative Cities Conference

23 – 26 October, Adelaide Festival Centre

Registrations have now opened for the Asia-Pacific Creative Cities Conference. Running alongside Adelaide Festival Centre’s OzAsia Festival, the conference will bring together top-level delegates and world-class speakers representing the Asia-Pacific region to take part in panels and discussions, deepen regional collaboration and highlight the cultural leadership of the region.

We wish to extend our sincere invitation to the representatives of your creative city.  The Asia-Pacific Creative Cities Conference in Adelaide has been developed in line with the UNESCO Creative City Network mission and strategic objective. An exclusive international event, the Conference will feature sophisticated panel discussions and focused roundtables with government representatives, industry leaders, international trade and tourism bodies, and creative thinkers and practitioners.    Moreover, with 2019 being designated by the United Nations as the International Year of Indigenous Language, the Conference will address the ways in which indigenous arts, language, entrepreneurship and culture in the Asia-Pacific region can be protected, championed, promoted, and supported.

As part of participation in the Conference you will be provided with two complimentary nights at hotel in the city of Adelaide for two delegates per city. Additional nights may be booked directly with hotel providers, which we are happy to facilitate. Catering will be provided throughout the duration. Travel to Adelaide will be at the expense of delegates. Please note if you are unable to attend we would welcome deputies, creatives and other leaders from the creative and cultural industries in your city who may benefit from such a gathering.

This conference will provide unique opportunities to meet, network and collaborate with key stakeholders from across the Asia-Pacific region. This will be a strategic regional gathering that is outcome-focused and based on partnership development. As part of the UNESCO Creative Cities network we encourage you to register and become part of the conversation.
